F's? Say hello to community college, probably. C's or lower? You probably won't be able to get into the top schools in the country or your state. Pull them up!!

Never say never. I am a teacher at an Alternative School in Oklahoma. See if there is an Alternative School program in your district. That could help you pull up your credits and your grades. You may not end up with a 4.0, but if you really want to have good grades and truly work at it, you can. A lot of colleges look at the GPA but most only require about a 2.5-3.5 for small scholarships and only about a 2.0 for entrance alone. Most colleges will base your admittance on both your GPA and your ACT scores. If you score high enough on your ACT....regardless of your GPA, you can usually get some kind scholarship and/or financial aid. Most everyone can get a loan for college. Regardless....check around and see if there are local programs that can help you! Good luck!

I've known pretty important colleges to look back as far as Jr. High/Middle School. This is because they have say 25 spots and maybe that 25th spot has 2 candidates with the same GPA in 12th and 11th and 10th and 9th and so they have to keep going back to see who has the been the strongest longest. Of course, not all colleges do this but they do look at all classes you have taken during your high school career and not *just* the GPA. Otherwise what would be the point of taking Honors or AP classes?

Work hard and you can pull your grades up - it takes perseverance and a desire to go to a good college - I mean you really have to want it.

Good Luck.

It will hurt, but you can do something about it. Re-take the critical classes in order to 'rid' yourself of as many of the poor grades as possible. Make sure you know why you had such a tough time and fix that issue. Work hard to have your grades TREND UP over the next couple years... the trend upward while your classes are getting tougher will prove you CAN do a great job and learn from your mistakes. ASK for help every step of the way, it's hard to fix problems all by yourself!

You can recover.

Ask teachers for help. Ask the guidance office for help. Bring up your grades.

If college ever asks - say you had a bad time, but you admitted your mistakes and worked on improvement.

Accomplish your goals.
I suggest a dvd for about $29 from amazon, it's called,
The Secret - and it gives you an amazing look on life, and you will get back on track - in my opinion.

If you have any questions on studying - just ask & send them to me through this yahoo site. I'd be glad to help you.
