Why are women known as a hurricane?

Trust me i have heard this term used many times by guys especially...... first answer that is even close gets the points.

Because they moan when they come, and take the house when they leave.

I would think it is because woman can cause more dramatic changes in a shorter time period.

When a hurricane blows through it leaves what some call destruction in it's path. Although damage is caused it then leads to a cleaning and freshening of the past and a new beginning is created.

So maybe they mean that as certain women pass through their lives they wipe out the clutter and disarray and create a new brighter, cleaner beginning.

OK, but at least it sounds good!!

I think the idea is linked with anger and depression. The reason being is because stereotypically, men think of women as impatient, someone who gets depressed easily and someone who is unable to control their emotions when they're upset. In relating that with hurricanes, when they start, they will just get stronger and stronger as it continues.

Also, most hurricanes are named after a girl i.e. Hurricane Katrina. Hope this helps.
