What would happen if all America did not spend $ for 1 week?

Or better yet, no one spent one dollar for a whole month.

Well, I like to think that prices would go down on the really overpriced items like; gas, food, electricity, alcohol.

Would the retail community have any choice but to lower prices to a reasonable amount?

The stock market would crash and we would be hit by a depression.
