I had sex today and 2 hrs later when I wiped after urinating I realized there was a slight pink discharge, it is very light pink. Now 3 hours after and I looked at my underwear there is pink on both sides of it. Has this happened to anyone or does anyone know the cause? This is the first time I've had bleeding after sex.

unless you were having sex with John Holmes, you should be fine.

Sex can cause an irritation of the cervix. I know in later stages of pregnancy, it is quite common to bleed a bit following sex. If it is light pink and only small amount, I don't think you have anything to be concerned about. However, if it does increase in amount, like soak a pad, you could be miscarrying and you need to be seen. Unfortunately, there is nothing at this stage that can be done to prevent a miscarriage. If you are quite concerned, see your doctor for an ultrasound to check on baby. Good luck to you.

It is normal to bleed during or after sex when you are pregnant, some people even have to abstain from sex, it if gets really bad.
But a little pink is normal, you want to change the position of sex, as there are specific sexual positions, you cannot go as hard, or in the same positions you did when you were not pregnant.
try a new position one that is safe for pregnant people.

And be much more gentle.
Also if it gets worst you may have to stop sex until he baby is born.

Well to be safe you should really call and speak with your OB, anytime there is bleeding during pregnancy, especially so early on, its best to be on the safe side. However, slight bleeding can be very normal after sex and after pap smears having to do with your cervix. I don't know the exact reason, but I'm sure someone else will let you know. I would not worry though..but call doc just to let him know! Good Luck!

I'm 29 weeks and don't have bleeding after sex, so just in case I would check with my doctor because you're not yet out of the miscarriage range. Good luck and God bless.

I had this happen towards the end of one of my pregnancies. I called the dr and they told me to come in if I continued to bleed for over 24 hrs or it got heavier. They also told me no sex for a few days. If you have anymore problems or a history of miscarriages, please call your doctor.

this is fine and normal your body might even bleed a little more, do not panic unless you have heavy and severe bleeding and cramping then run for the hospital but for a little blood or even a normal period its ok, some women (me among them) have period or several while being pregnant.

call ur dr. immediately. you should be careful especially during early pregnancy. when you're pregnant, the cervix is MUCH more sensetive. thus, sex should not be rough. but call your dr. just to be sure that everything will be okay w/ the baby :0)
