I've tried cleaning my rearview mirror with a cloth, but that didn't do much. Should I use soap and water? Windex? I want to make sure the cleanser I use doesn't damage the rearview mirror.

Windex and a soft cloth should work just fine. If you have electronics in the mirror, just spray the Windex on the cloth.

windex will work fine, but on the car windows you should use a spray that is made for car windows otherwise it will just smear, come out streaky and wont dissolve the debree that is on your windows
