I want to buy my boyfriend a pair of diamond earring studs for his birthday. Can anyone give me a tip on where to look and maybe what style of earrings I should buy him, ie. round, princess cut, platinum,.

I'm thinking Blue Nile. I wouldn't waste money on platinum, particularly for a diamond stud earring. It sounds nice, but it's going to look the same as white gold and cost three times as much. I also think that round is a better choice than princess cut...I don't care for the squares on guys.

Honestly, it would be better to visit a local jewelry store so you can see what you are purchasing. Sometimes you can catch great deals and I really don't think buying them online would be any cheaper.

Good luck!

for a guy, get the round and definetly platinum... not the "princess"
as far as where on the internet, be careful... you cant see what youre buying, make sure theyre reputable, and certified (the earrings) check the 4 c's also, cut color clarity and carat weight... make sure you get an authenticity record and appraisal... better yet, go to a reputable jeweler in your area... SEE WHAT YOU ARE PAYING A lot OF $$$ FOR. GREAT GIFT IDEA, BUT VERY PRICEY, SO DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU COMMIT TO THAT BIG FAT BILL.!!!
GREAT GIFT!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

then you can go to qvc.com
and get some pretty ones off there
my mom bought me some and they have laster for over a year,
and they haven't tarnished at all
but if you do want to buy real ones
then you should go to zales.com

oops!!
i forgot the style!!!
i think the princess cut would be good
and the metal should be silver!!!
