I only had a Spectrum *sob* and I remember it wasn't exactly reliable when loading games! I'm sure if I'd have had a Commodore I'd be voting for that.

Commodore was better because the graphics were better and the sound chip was better.Also you didn't have all the expansion packs hanging out the back.
The c64 had a better(and bigger keyboard)

I owned neither but my friend had a c64 and my sister's boyfriend had a spectrum which he used to lend me.( I was twelve and absolutely starry eyed at this fabulous piece of technology)

By the time we had linked it ti the telly and the power socket and god knows what else you could barley walk across the room!!
