my favorite is deffenetly Purple. if you use a very light purple or gray from the crease till your eyebrows... a mediem purple on your lid and a really dark purple on the crease.. it looks soo great! speacially if you have brown eyes. I love using black and gray as well... i use a white all through the eye.. then the gray on the lid and black on the crease.. it gives it a very cool color too... and brown... brown always looks great.. good luck!

it depends on your skin tone.
if your have fair skin and light tones then you don't want to over power it with dark eye shadows. I see girls do this and they look like racoons. use a olive to grey eyeshadow for a sexy smokey eye
for carmel to dark skin tones use a deep velvety shade of purple to line the rims of the eyes.
for darker to darkest skin, black eyeshadow with a metallic tint/ glitter would be best to show against such pigmented skin tones

Light Plum colors are great, cover girl sells a set with four plum shadows in it, Try covering your whole eyelid up to your brow bone in one of the light colors, and then use a slightly darker in the "crease" of your eye lid, GOOD LUCK! have fun!
