I was wondering if you have problems with them harassing you?
Like my bill is due on the 1st of the month but past due on the 16th. and today I got a phone call saying it was a debt collector and I told them I'm not past due and on top of that NO LIE I just received my bill yesterday on the 6th and she told me that it's due on the 1st and I said well it's past due on the 16th and it's just the 7th and stop harassing me. Then I hung up on her. I freakin' hate them and I'm seriously thinking about refinancing and going with someone else. I was just wondering if anyone else has had problems with them?

Unfortunatly, they can do this. I have AMC, and they do the same thing to me every month. I am a commissioned only sales person paid once a month and every month I tell them the same thing. If you tell them you will be paying on the 30th, they should stop calling you until then. They want your money on the first so that they can collect the interest on that amount. Sorry its not much help. You can tell them every month not to call but they will!
Also, be aware that if you refi you may still end up with them in the long run! You may fund with one lender only to be sold on secondary to Countrywide.

I have had Countrywide for the last three years. I sometimes (not every time) get a call around the 7th or 8th if they don't have our payment yet. But it has always been polite, with them telling me they are trying to save me the late fees. Sometimes it is just a delay in the mail, and I can give them the date it was mailed.

Its their aggressive loss prevention that has kept Countrywide in the black. They are just doing everything they can to "encourage" their customers to pay their bills. Just try not to take it personal. Just tell them you are paying bills this weekend and plan on sending it in soon.

No sense paying an extra $2500 to get a refi done to get the calls to stop. PLUS - Countrywide is one of the country's largest servicers of mortgages - your next loan will probably end up there anyway...

I sure understand your anger. It would be nice if you could figure a way to have them take payment out of your checking account on the due day. I know money is probably tight but you could really help your credit score that way

most lenders are in financial trouble, they need the money.
