Can we try this again in English?
If I am wading through this correctly, people who are for equal rights would be for equal marriage rights, no matter what term you use - civil unions, or marriage.
Quite frankly, if a term [like "marriage"] is good enough for one set of people when they get married, it is good enough for everyone. Otherwise you have a state of "separate but equal," and we know how unjust that was.

Like the first answer I don't see a difference. I'm straight but I signed the petitions for gay marriage when they came around. I don't see why they shouldn't be able to get married.

60% of canadians do not support gay marriage, It was pushed through by the opposition parties in the government backing gay rights and had nothing to do with what the Canadian people as a whole wanted.
