my father wont speak to me he left my mother when I was 1 year old I went looking for him 11 yers ago found him we built a tentative relationship when I asked him not to bad mouth my mother as she didnt do that to him he hit the ******* roof and I was disowned on the spot I have been unable to get in toch with him since as he will not amswer the phone to me or answer the door when I knock so no I cant relate to it not in the way you may mean but I wish I knew just what the hell I have done to him

I listened to that song many times and have thought about my dad , he has been gone for 18 years now but i do remeber the song

Oh yes, only to well. We both spoke a different language. Yes, I was there 'that' morning but it was to late and when I look at my Son I have so many regrets and now it's to late ....and now I have to go coz I've got tears streaming down my face.

OMG... what is it with Y!A today... my best friend's dad passed away this morning and all I've been seeing on answers is Q's about funerals and songs they want played and now this... I'm an emotional wreck... is this a freaking conspiracy... btw... I like that song... sorry for ranting... it's nothing personal...

Yes! My father-in-law died a month to the day before our son was born in 1987. This song hit eerily close to home.
