Why did they privatize the mtnce. of Walter Reed by contracting it out to Cheney's old company?

I Agree--wholeheartedly---How could you not argue that Walter Reed is not a political issue? Suggesting that there is Clinton link is really amusing!!!

250 Federal employees at Walter Reed were replaced by 50 workers from IAP despite the growing numbers of cases coming in. That is gross mismanagement to say the least!!

1. It DIDN'T get privatized, certain services DID.
2. Cheney's old company DIDN'T get the contract. A different company did which happened to be headed by someone who once worked at Halliburton.

The tragedy at Walter Reed is VERY real. It's SICK AND DISGUSTING to try to turn it into something political. If I wanted to do that, I might point out that MASSIVE monetary cuts in the military under the CLINTON administration necessitated the privatization of services. Hmmmmmm. What else could we expect from loathers of the military, I guess.

Actually, you are wrong on this one. However, someone should have scrutinized this a little closer any way. Problems with contracting at Walter Reid have always been a problem. Hey, do you see any othe previous President comenting on it?
