The quality of life is better now than it ever has in the history of the world.
We are leading longer, healthier, and happier lives.
We can travel to every corner of this world unlike our grandparents who barely left their villages. We have evn landed on Mars with robotic vehicles. That's incredible in my mind. The universe is not even a barrier to us.
We have access to every book, cd, movie, and work of art that has ever been created to inspire and lift us.
We are blessed beyond words.

Based on your criteria, the quality of life is getting better for the majority of people--at least in industrialized countries. However, surveys have shown that, despite these gains, people are no happier than they were 50 years ago.

Generally, in the US, the quality of life gets better every year. For me personally, the quality of life seems to get better every year.

Worse every day--for sure. More of our troops are being killed each day; the population and traffic increases more and more; the prices of things we need are skyrocketing in price; housing and utility costs are going up all the time; there is more and more violence in our own towns.

This is entirely dependant on where you live. if your a european or a yank, its a pretty good life, but for many in the world, it's getting worse.

Mine is better - for each family, it is different depending on where they are in their life. Good jobs? Education? Children? Living expenses?
