What kind of file is it? You need to know the file extension before you can figure out what program opens it.

Right click the file and click properties and it should show you the filetype. Then go here:

http://filext.com/

Type in the extension and it should give you detailed information on what the extension is including the program that opens it.

Have her find out at work which program they are using and then try that, but they may be using something like Microsoft word, or power point etc. Business programs and some are expensive. Good luck.

Do you know the extension of the file?
Right click on the file -> Properties -> General. What does it say at Type of file?
