Once when I was at college me and a ladyfriend went to Barking Odeon (since demolished). We watched a matinee of a Perfect Murder (the re-make with Michael Douglas and Viggo Mortensen). The only two people in the theatre. I asked one of the staff if they would have showed it if we weren't there and he said they would have.
Its a tree falling in the forest no-one around, does the light in the fridge go off type thing though.
Cant remember if the film was any good either

Yes, One time I went to see a movie early in the day. I was about 5 min late but the movie had already started. I was the only one in the theatre. So yes
