I am not too sure on Denilson. It would have to grow on me. I do not like the nickname Denny or Dennis and the "son" on the end gives it a surname feel. I do like Jackson and Carson though so maybe this will grow on me too. It is just a new name, which is a good thing.

I know a little boy name Denison and they call him Denz for short. I think it is kind of cute.

How about Donovan? I really like this. SD

Denilson is a good name but you always have to agree with the mother of the child!!!! If the mother doesn't like the name then find a name that you both agree on good luck on the name!!!!!

i personally wouldn't name my son that name, but if you like the name then does it really matter who else likes it. Just make sure you know it's origin...denilson might be portuguese considering that it is very common in Brazil. It's always good to know the origin and meaning of a name (in my personal opinion) it's all up to your decision if you like the name...good luck!

i know about soccer and Denilson isnt a good name.

who cares whose name it is, are you trying to name your kid after a soccer player? Get over it. As if people are naming their kids "Shaq" or "Kobe"

If you really want to name someone after soccer, go for David Beckham or something.

have fun and maybe "Danny" or "Nelson" can come out of that name.

Nope. Try again.
Please think of a traditional name or from a member of your family.
Nothing weird like Denilson.

Sorry but the name sounds like a last name, and i think Henry after Thierry Henry, Or David or Michael or Wayne . They sound nice soccer names.

Mmm....it's a bit out there, but hey, he's your wee one and it is up to you.

You could use Denilson as his middle name? Just a thought.

I think that if you are having second thoughts on a name for a baby, I think that you should imagine growing up with that name and think of a nickname for that certain name and see if maybe a lot of people would make fun of it or if it is a regular name that people will enjoy.

I don't like it -it sounds like a 19th century butlers, or grooms name.
Did you want honest answers or did you hope just to get answers from soccer players? Do you think that he will spend his life surrounded by soccer players?
