My 3rd wedding anniversary is coming up and I want to do something special for my husband. He has never ridden in a limo so I rented one. We will drive ourselves to dinner and be picked up by the limo service and then take a drive by the bay. Do you think this is a good idea?

I thought that having the limo pick us up after dinner would be a big surprise. Up til then he would have just thought that dinner was the only celebration!

Mom23,I think its awesome and it's very romantic indeed, dinner, ride, and driving by the bay will be so neat. It's perfect setting and maybe you can add a few more surprise when the two of you gets home. How about buy lots of red roses, spread the petals all over your bedroom floor and on top of you guys bed,then make sure that you have lots of scented candles around your bedroom, and with soft music the two of you can finish it.....have fun and more anniversary to come!!

Yes, I do. But will he? It depends on his attitude toward financial matters. If I paid for a limo ride for my husband he would never let me forget it and what it cost. He would rather I forgot his birthday!
You know a lot more about your husband than anyone here does. A special evening as you described sounds very romantic to me! And charming too.

Other options of surprise: rent a helicopter with a pilot. I checked a few months ago, it was as little as US$100/15 minutes. Or ride an air balloon.

i'm with amy on this one-get picked up and dropped off as well-if you can't afford it ,drop the dinner and do the bayside drive-have some wine and cheese when you get back
