Billy has a trick coin that lands on heads 70% of the time. He is going to flip his coin twice. What is the probability that the coin will land on heads both times:

A. 25%
B. 49%
C. 70%

Second question is:

if c= cost in dollars
and p is equal the percentage of pollutants filtered

1. governemnt regulation require 85% removal of pollutants ..how much will it cost?

2. the company has $720000 budgeted for filtration. What % of pollutants could they filter if they spent the entire budget?

3. Explain what would happen to the cost if the company attempted to remove 100% of the pollutants from the water?

the question is bascially about the company and how it filterss waters..but it has nothin to do with the questions..so thats why i dont think u neeed to know it to answer this question

Ok question 1, bout the coin

to find the probability of an event happening more than once in a row, you multiply its chance of happening times itself as many times as you are doing the event...

both = 2 so

70% times 70% = 7/10 * 7/10 = 49/100 = 49%

B. 49%


other ones

1.85% of pollutants must be removed so

.85 * c = .85c


2. 720,000 $ to spend, impossible to answer, you don't have enough info, it doesn't say how much a % of pollutants cost to filter.
