J.K. Rowling....She was nominated for this honor by Dr. Mark Hammergren and named the asteroid # 43844 'Rowling.'
Other famous authors who have asteroids named after them are Ann Frank, Charles Dickens, and George Orwell, just to name a few (although these ones were all name prior to 2006)
