I would say the AL Central. Three legitimatly good teams: White Sox, Twins, and of course the defending American League champs Detroit Tigers.

Oh yeah and the Indians too. They'll be much better than last year. They were the biggest dissappointment in baseball.

Well since we are talking about this year and not last year I will say the AL East.

Al Central- even though the Royals are in it- the proof is in the White Sox's excellent 2006 record- and they did not even make the playoffs.

The AL East will be the most common dissenting answer I bet- with good reason, but until Toronto proves itself a legitamate contender- it's still only 2nd best (with the Yankees and Red Sox- making it the most exciting division)

AL Central - they could finish with 4 winning teams that would be in the playoffs if they were in any other division but only 2 of them go to the playoffs. It would suck to win 90 games, finish third and watch some team who won 85 go the AL Championship.
That didn't happen last year in the AL. But the team that won the World Series had the worst record of any playoff team in both leagues winning only 83. So it is possible.

AL Central is definatley the toughest division in all the MLB, cause they have like 4 of the top 8 best teams in MLB, and who knows maybe KC will be this years Tigers, I highly doubt it, but we'll see, but either way, AL Central all around is way better and stronger of a division than AL East and any other division in all of sports to be honest

Like everyone else I say the AL Central four legit teams, with KC actually improving some ie Alex Gordon, Mark Teahen. I do not think the signing of Gil Meche was a good idea for KC but they could have done worse, Ted Lilly, Barry Zito.

The AL Central in my opinion has the toughest division in baseball. I don't think any of the divisions in the NL could even stand a chance to any of the AL divisions.

I agree with you the AL Central has overtaken the AL East as being the toughest in the majors. With the crop of teams in the Central it could be the nastiest division. I see the Tigers doing it with Minnesota getting the Wildcard.

AL Central. I have Royals seasons tix. We get stomped every year by some great teams. Also, we had 2 playoff teams from our division last year, including the AL Champs.

LOL East coast bias. NL WEST YO! Dodgers have the best pitching staff and they have two of the top 5 basestealers in the lineup in Furcal and Pierre.

San Diego is just stubborn and they somehow get the job done and they're always in the hunt for the playoffs till like the last week of the season.

Arizona Diamondbacks have the best farm system in the entire league and its gonna be on display this season with so many young studs on their team...Conor Jackson, Quentin, Stephen Drew, Chad Tracy...they have a veteran presence as well with speedy Eric byrne,s big Tony Clark and a deep bullpen

Rockies have a stellar offense with tulowitzki at short, atkins at 3rd, helton at 1st, holliday at left, speedy tavares at center, hawpe at right and their pitching has improved a ton in the past 2 years....top 10 in the entire league in runs allowed and ERA

Giants look a little shaky but they have a very strong veteran presence with bonds, durham, aurilia plus they have zito as one of their starters and a couple of young guys in matt cain and noah lowry..

NL WEST HANDS DOWN THE TOUGHEST DIVISION IN BASEBALL!
