Even the thought of it makes me shiver, but I think it's because of the way younger boys that have liked me (and I didn't like back) have treated me over the years.

The 1st younger boy with a crush on me: Bad personality, rotten, chav, liar, jumped on me while i was laid on my bed. (not naked.)

2: Apparently 'wanted me to go swimming' with him&my brother (they used to be friends), and also apparently wanted me to go into this tent with him.

3. An MSN contact, never met in person before, kept asking me to change display picture to pictures of me when I didn't have display picture as me.

Could this possibly be causing my 'phobia' of dating younger boys?

When you get older you might want to date younger men. Right now the maturity level of the younger boys isn't like yours. Girls seem to mature faster.

After around age 12 or 13, it doesn't matter if the boy is older or younger, their thoughts are generally all the same.
You seem to be using common sense by not getting into places where it can be difficult to 'back' out.
Stay smart and go out only with boys who are respectful, but don't base it on their age unless they are too old for you.
'Too old' would be at the most no more that one or two years older than you.

Actually it is because of your level of maturity vs. the level of maturity of younger guys.... Girls mature very rapidly at your age, actually at age of 15 you are like a lady now... and the boys are considered men at 18 maybe rather than 15... that 3 year difference might be the thing that keeps you away from younger boys.... I remember when I used to be 12 or 13... I was completely differente than now (18)... I used to be showy, even more arrogant than now XD lol! and a little fastidious.... and well, at 13 boys are changing a lot, in their levels of hormones, and all that make them think and act weird, and sometimes kind of crazy.... Just keep on dating the ones you like and find interesting... and the young ones might reach your maturity level later on.... Don't worry to much about that at your age.... It doesn't really make a difference if you date or do not date at that age... better to have 100 friends than one jelous boyfriend....

I understand completely. I am in my 40s and guys in their 20s are always wanting to go out with me. When I tell them it is because of the maturity level, they get upset. The last couple of times I went out with a younger man, he did act immature, he did not know how to dress properly, he tried to impress me doing immature stunts, he was short on cash, did not even have a credit card. I told him to call me when he learned a thing or two. Only thing a younger guy can do for me is introduce me to his older brother, uncle, or dad ( only if all are single).
Young guys please learn how to treat and please an older woman before you want to go out with them. And have some money in your pocket.

At 14 you are quite too young to be dating. Maybe in a couple years when 16 or 17. Boys at that age anyway act funny. Most do not even seem to get a smidgen of maturity except in rare cases until 25 and you have a long way to go. Don't worry about it.
