i would recommend you MAC because of the viarity of colors and how great their cosmetics are... i've tried other cosmetic companies and there is nothing like MAC... but there are other good brands... Mary Kay had great eyeliner that does not SMUDGE so i recommend that very much... and Lancome has really nice eyeshadows and great lipsticks...
P.S. If you are going to use MAC lipglass..amek sure you get the clear lip gloss because their lipglass is very sticky... but there colors are fantastic... try their lipglass color called Oh Baby!!!
P.S.S their FUID Liners are great!!! there are many different colors and do not smudge!
Good Luck!!
Make Sure You CLean Your Face!!! dont leave the make up on because it will ruin your skin...
You need make up remover... consealer... powder... eyeliner... eyeshadows... mascara... eyelash curler... lipgloss or lipstcik... go0d luck!

For a first time make-up buyer, I would say you can get almost every thing you need from cover girl. They sell "Clean make up" foundation, they also have "oil control foundation" if you have young/oily skin i would use oil control. For blush, if you will just start wearing make up for the first time too, i would recommend a light blush from cover girl, "natural glow 570" is a nice subtle and pretty color. I would use a pencil eyeliner, liquid is just to messy. Rimmel by far sells the best eyeliner I would not recommend black eyeliner, maybe start with rimmel's exagerate eyeliner using the color "281 aubergine" I would use a light eye shadow, of really any brand, but avoid blue eyeshadow- it looks bad on everyone! For mascara I would recommend "great lash" Its the stuff in the pink tube, DONT get water proof mascara, it really hard to wash off.
DOnt forget that if you dont wash off your make up at night and wash your face before applying it you will break out, so make sure you pick up a goos face wash too! GOOD LUCK! :)

If you would like to use foundation, buy a good one- meaning something from a dept store such as Clinique, MAC etc. Also, get a mascara and lipgloss- those are basics. You also may want to get blush, lipstick, eyeliner and eye shadow. As far as the brands, many drug store stuff is pretty good, try companies like Loreal, Revlon, Cover Girl, Rimmel, Almay or Maybelline. If the stuff does not work for you, you can always return it, even opened- just keep the receipt.

Well, I would recommend that you go to Mac and get a makeover and tell them exactly the kind of look you are going for. Mac has a variety of eyeshadows which are great and their lipgloss is great too. Lancome has good lipgloss, but thick, but their mascara is great. In the department store I recommend: Mac, Chanel, Lancome. In the drugstore I recommend: Loreal, Revlon, Almay, Prestige, and covergirl. The basic things that you need are lipgloss, mascara, eyelash curler, eyeliner, eyebrow pencil, lipliner. It all depends on the look that you are going for.

Im your girl for this question! lets see...cover girl is great for foundation. To find blush and eye shadow, it depends on your skin tone. if your darker skin..brighter eye shadows will look great. if you have lighter skin i would go w/ light eye shadows. But yeah..to sum it up CoverGirl is good! good luck! :)
