because they're the Bills

Here're some points...
-JP Losman had a better QB-rating than such well-regarded QBs as Steve McNair, Jake Delhomme, and Chad Pennington last year.
-Willis McGahee is lazy. He apparently didn't study the playbook and was often lost out on the field as he didn't know his assignments.
-He routinely skips voluntary mini-camps, which would be fine if not for the above point. Instead, he works out at da "U"
-He is a poor receiver out of the backfield, a big no-no in Fairchild's system
-He doesn't seem to give 100% unless he's playing his old buddy from the "U" Jonathan Vilma.
-His production has steadily decreased over the past two years, and continued to do so even though Buffalo's offensive line improved greatly in the 2nd half of last season.
-His inflammatory remarks in the media, including declaring himself the best back in the league(and then getting stuffed in San Diego while Tomlinson set him straight).
-His comment to Penthouse that the Bills should move to Toronto so he can have a livelier night life
-Three paternity suits filed against him.
-He wants a lucrative contract extension
-His agent, Rosenhaus, appeared on ESPN and said McGahee wanted out and flat out said his client's problems were the fault of the oline. True or not, saying such a thing publicly is as classless as it gets.

That's the laundry list of reasons. I'm not worried about replacing him...a 2nd-round pick and possibly Chris Brown should be more than enough behind our new and improved offensive line. Glad we have Marv to clean up Donahoe's many messes...

Because he is the most overrated RB in the league. To put it in perspective he's got only 14 career 100 yard games and 5 of those have come against the pathetic Jets run defense. If the Jets had a better run defense he wouldn't even have a 1,000 yard rushing season yet. His agent Drew Rosenhaus got the past Bills management into thinking that McGahee would fully recover from his knee injury when in reality he will never be the RB he was at Miami. Now that the Bills have new management they want to get rid of the overrated and under achieving player.

He's overrated. Although they did take a risk in drafting him anyway. After all he was coming back from an injury. Also some times you draft a player and they have a different style then they did in college, or you try to make them have a different style. Oh and that whole thing about the Bills should move to Toronto, or whatever the exact remark was, didn't exactly help.

they like drafting players, and when they do well they like them, but they do poorly in a season, and they want to get rid of them. they seem like the Texans, always trying to patch up problems quickly instead of spending time trying to fix their problems

every second McGahee stays with the bills, his trade value seems to fall. i really think he is a great running back, now if only the bills could try to adjust their run blocking patterns for McGahee instead of looking for a new guy

Because Drew Rosenhaus is his agent. And he is an arrogant jerk (have met him numerous times). Not a high character guy. Is rather aloof when you talk to him. Apparently doesn;t like to stufy the playbook(Billy Joe Hobert anyone???)

Because McGahee has wanted to be traded for a couple years now.
He isn't happy in Buffalo, so he really isn't commited as he should be.

He's not the right fit for their offensive system and they could get a high draft choice for him.
