Check if its a Hydraulic pedal, or if its mechanical. If its hydraulic, check the fluid, add and bleed as nessisary. If Mechanical, ajust linkage.

You will need to bleed the clutch hydraulic fluid .There should be a resevoir for this inside the engine compartment.Follow the fluid pipe down from this and you will find one or 2 bleed nipples.Fit on the appropriate spanner and slaken. Then get someone to press down the clutch pedal. Before they release you should tighten again.Repeat the process several times.each time fluid will exit from the nipple.Keep topping up the resevoir as you bleed the fluid through. Then go to the second lower bleed nipple and repeat.Your pedal should now feel pressure when you press down.
If there is no improvement it may be the pedal master cylinder 'o' ring is leaking and letting air in.In which case there will be fluid that has leaked behind the bottom of the pedal. In which case you will have to buy a new 'o' ring, replace it and bleed the system again.

Good luck.

Check the brake fluid level the clutch system runs off the same reservoir other than that take it to a dealers anything to do with the clutch is probably going to be expensive but your better off having the security of a reputable garage rather than some back street joint.

You more than likely do not have a problem with the clutch, the vectra has a hydrulic clutch and that's what makes it easy to disengage (pushing it down).

Could be the clutch release bearing ,or the pressure plate springs .
It seems like it is a full clutch strip down??
