Neptune's temperature at its cloud tops is usually close to −210 °C (−346 °F), one of the coldest in the solar system, due to its long distance from the sun. Neptune's center is about 7,000 °C (13,000 °F), however, hotter than the sun's surface. This is due to extremely hot gases and rock in the center.

Here is a bit of information for your school project on Neptune:

Cloud Top Temperature = Minus 320 Degrees F.

Diameter of Neptune = 30,760 Miles
Average Distance from the Sun = 2.8 Million Miles
Orbital Period around the Sun = 164.8 Earth Years
Rotational period = 16.11 Earth Hours
Number of moons = 13

Neptune is the smallest and most distant of the gas giants.
It is about four times the size of the Earth, and has a structure
very much like that of Uranus. The outer layer is mostly hydrogen
with a deep layer of water and ice below that. The core of Neptune is probably rock and ice. The planet is spining so rapidly that it is bulging outward somewhat at its equator.

The north and south poles alternately point toward the Sun as Neptune makes its orbital path around the Sun. There is a seasonal change for that reason. However, each season lasts for roughly fourty years due to the long time it takes for an orbit to be completed. Methane gas in the upper atmosphere of Neptune absorbs red light and reflects blue. That gives Neptune a blue color to observers from Earth.

Neptune has one large moon, Triton, and a collection of 12
(maybe more) smaller moons, plus five complete rings of various types of material. A partial sixth ring has also been
observed.

Good luck with your project,
Zah
