Tough luck, kid. Things like that happen in school. Get used to it. But I suppose if you REALLY wanted to, you could get the kid suspended for a couple days.

Well I wouldn't really recommend pressing charges for something like that as you don't seem to have been critically injured and your case probably wouldn't make it to court. If your head was split open then you should do something about it but the kid probably wouldn't get in trouble at all as he didn't really seem to have much of an intent to harm. You would just be wasting your time and money. If you really wanted to press charges though you could probably go to a local court and they would put you through the process. I highly don't recommend it though unless the kid repeatedly tries something

Yes! Anything that you consider physical or emotional harm on yourself. If you are sure that you can prove this happened in court, then I would say go for it. Unfortunately, if he lies and you can not prove anything, you will not get very far. My suggestion is taking pictures of your head and visiting the doctor. Ask the office for a medical report and "proof" that you indeed had a lump. Visit your local police station to file a complaint and they will help you from there. Don't be afraid to do anything, because you need to show that you will not take that type of abuse. Good luck!

thats an ASSULT! yes u can press charges..

Assault is a crime of violence against another person. In some jurisdictions, including Australia and New Zealand assault refers to the actual violence, while in other jurisdictions, such as the United States, England and Wales, assault refers only to the threat of violence, while the actual violence is battery. Simple assaults that do not involve any aggravation such as use of a deadly weapon are distinguished from aggravated assaults.

Assault is often defined to include not only violence, but any physical contact with another person without their consent. When assault is defined like this, exceptions are provided to cover such things as normal social behavior (for example, patting someone on the back).

Maybe, but you could also consider standing up for yourself- the police have more important things to do.
