I have 1 gig of Ram, and I want to double it.. I dont know what kind I Have. How do I check? what do I want and need to know to upgrade?

one gig of ram should be enough for your computer.but it also depends on what kind of computer you have .if you double it and your computer can not take it well it's no use of putting more ram in your computer because it will not change how your computer work's.
