Maybe we should just leave like we did in Vietnam. We've freed them of their tyrant. If we come home what would happen in Iraq? How would it affect us? Short term, long term. Maybe we should place nuclear weapons there and tell Iran that if they don't get on board we will turn Tehran into a glass factory.

I believe that the governments of all nations decided not to make war, that there would still be wars. When you have terrorists, a goup of nuts that answer to no law and no government, there will always be war, or at least bombings. Do terrorists believe they are doing a service to Iraq by killing citizens with these junk bombs? Do they care? Why did this go on when Saddam was in power? Wjat did he do differently?

We fix the situation in Iraq by winning the war - with what ever it takes, for how ever long it takes.
We can only lose this war if we quit - and the terrorists know this and are banking on it.

In Vietnam the war was about rubber, well we learned to make synthetic rubber and now our president visited the North Vietnamese capital and drank tea with him, I though that was an insult to the dead & wounded veterans, but they do as they please.
In Iraq it's different the USA has invested trillions of dollars for the control of the Iraq oil and to challenge the Arabs in the region mainly Iran while protecting Israel. I know no one like to talk about the hard facts, but Israel is the nation that the Arabs and the Muslims hate along most of the world. Israel is the the true problem and they pull the USA in the heat and the Christians believe them. The solution is separation from Israel and for Israel to bend and make Palestinian a state, I know the Israelis had a hard time during WW II, but thats over now in my opinion they have the Nazi face an image they should change, they are the proplem

With all due reverance to LeAnne for accomplishing much more than I did on Yahoo Answers.....

The no-win situation now mirroring Vietnam is a study in the inefficiency of trying to solve other peoples' problems.

With things like "Fat Man and Little Boy" that put an end to W.W. 11, you'd think that the arsenal is so replete with wondrous cures that all the evils lurking in the world could be abolished in one fell swoop.

But Nooooooooo, instead gound out the wretched poorer classes' kids for the sake of keeping an economy going.

I now bow down to LeAnne!

in Iraq we have to keep a small group of soldiers (1500 to 2000) just assisting the Iraqis. if we come home Iraqis will realize that they have to step up and get their **** straight, like America was divided by race we came together as a nation full of different types of people. and look at us. and until the Iraqis realize that they will be killing themselves. the only way that will affect us is that gas prices will increase. we can't get in Iran because soldiers aren't prepare or equipped to go into another country. and the biggest reason: AMERICANS are tired of watching their family members get kill and the government taking money out of what really matters. our country

Simple we build canals along the borders. Since insurgents can't swim, they'll stop interfering. They could even grow crops.
Then we add walmarts and disney "mecca land' parks.
