I believe that the relationship between the Suns and Steve Nash is mutually beneficial. Before Nash arrived, the Suns won only 27 games or so. When he signed, they immediately became a championship contender. Also, the way Phoenix has shuffled guys into the lineup when others are hurt is a big compliment to Steve Nash. If a guy can see both Quentin Richardson and Joe Johnson go in the same off-season and still keep his team great, that's saying something. Then when Stoudemire went down last year, the Suns, largely due to Nash's point guard play, didn't miss a beat. But also, I don't think that Nash would have won two MVP's in any other system. I think Jason Kidd or Tony Parker could have won those MVPs with those teams as well. Mike D'Antoni has a system that is perfect for Nash and his style of play. Also, it doesn't hurt that he has two all-stars in the frontcourt. Add in Boris Diaw, who is greatly improved from a few years back, Leandro Barbosa, who is arguably the fastest player in the NBA, and Raja Bell, who wasn't very good with the Jazz before this, and you come up with a beautiful supporting cast for Nash. I don't believe that Nash would be as successful in another system or with other players, but I also don't think that the Suns would be the second-best team in the league without him, either.

Nash helps run the team in the L. without him the team would still be a very good team, but they wouldnt be as good as they are now. His ability to make passes, hit shots and lead the team are invaluable pieces to one of the more entertaining teams in the L.
Over the past few years the team Nash has been on has been the highest scoring team in the competition. He has the ability to make the right play. He also helps bring out the best in others like he has done with Barbosa, Diaw and Joe Johnson.
MVP wont go to a Suns player besides Nash....but i do think his best friend Dirk will win it....his team and his play has been fantastic

This is the best question that I have seen so far. Let's consider the fact that Nash couldn't do what he was doing when he was with an MVP type of player in Dirk. I think that Dallas failed to compliment his playing style and that the players of that roster couldn't cope with Nash's playmaking skills. Dallas, at that time was more of a defensive team. We all know that Nash isn't much of a defender.
When Nash was transfered to Phoenix, I think he became better because of all the great offensive talent in that team. The Suns also have a fast-paced game, which is perfect for Nash. I believe that Nash is lucky to get into the Suns roster. Phoenix made him a truly better player.

Steve Nash's court vision is unmatched. He doesn't "just pass" them the ball. He hits people at the right spot at the right time, makes defenders look like fools chasing him around, and you can't leave him open because he'll drop a three on you. No question who the MVP is on that team. Marion, Stoudamire and the others are good, but without Nash running the show they wouldn't be nearly as successful as they are.

Marion and Stoudamire are awesome, but the team isn't complete without Nash. They went far last season without Stoudamire, but they can't seem to make the cut without Nash. So I'm gonna have to say that, lately, Nash makes the Sun.

After Nash left the Mavs in the 04-05 offseason, both he and Nowitzki greatly improved their games. Nowitzki became the leader of the Mavs and Nash led the Suns to the playoffs two years in a row, including two MVP awards. I think Nash makes the Suns because if you look at what happened after his shoulder injury, the Suns started sliding. When Nash came back, the Suns started winning again. Obviously, it takes a talented point guard to run D'Antoni's high ocatane offense and Nash has the court vision to accurately dish the ball off for the quick bucket.

Kizzle_L doesn't make any since! Without Marion & Amare the team isn't COMPLETE either, that woman is a BASKETBALL MORON! What would the Suns do without Marion? Exspecially him being a SMALL forward that put up double double seasons with REBOUNDS & points? They would struggle awhole lot! They need them EXTRA REBOUNDS & DOUBLE DIGIT scoring. Marion & Amare are alot more valuable & are better players then Steve Nash.
P.S. You should check out my questions. I have alot of LEGIT examples on how Steve Nash is just an average guard.

I kind of think it is both! They are a good fit for the kind of player Nash is and vice versa! Nash has changed his game but he has improved the way a lot of players on that team play and it is just a good fit for both! I will not throw any stats out at ya but I will say if Phoenix played defense we would be talking about them winning there third straight title along with Nash's MVP! But who knows

I have to disagree. Nash has a good balance of scoring and passing. He makes defenses very uncomfortable and vulnerable. If Nash can see and opening that will let Amare go for 50 he'll take it. I think his playing style really meshes well with DAntoni. Not so much in Dallas.
