If she is offering it to you, you can tell her she doesn't need to and if she still offers it then take it and say thanks.

It depends on you mother daughter dynamic. If taking the $30.00 is going to make you uncomfortablee then tell her so. Just let her know that you guys are family and family helps each other out and that she doesn't have to pay you back extra money for it. If it doesn't make you uncomfortabl then take the money, it may be her way of apologizing ad easing her conscious about having to borrow money from her 16 yr old daughter in the first place.

Anything she does to act responsible, after gambling the rent money, you ought to allow.

My mom's mom was always taking mom's lunch money, dentist money, whatever money for gambling and they were often months behind on rent because my grandpa would foolishly give grandma the money for paying rent and she'd just gamble it and not even tell him! It was a very stressful life for my mom.

I hope your mom is not a gambling addict, too. Good luck. It's hard to tell you not to bail her out, if not bailing her out would put you in the street, but as much as possible, you'd want to avoid that.

When I was 16 I never had much for my mom to borrow! No, don't accept any interest from your mom, but encourage her to stop gambling before she owes more than you have to loan!!

SHE'S YOUR MOTHER. DON'T TAKE THE MONEY. AS LONG AS SHE ALWAYS REPAYS THERE'S NO PROBLEM. CIRCUMSTANCES CAN ALWAYS TURN AROUND, AND YOU WOULDN'T WANT HER TO CHARGE YOU INTEREST IF YOU NEEDED A LOAN FROML HER. IF SHE MAKE A BIG HABIT OUT OF BORROWING MONEY AND NOT PAYING IT BACK, THAT'S A DIFFERENT STORY. DON'T LOAN TO HER IN THE FUTURE IF THAT'S THE CASE, YOU'LL BE AN ENABLER TO HER PROBLEM.

no one can tell you to take it or not. If you don't want the money tell your mom no mom you can have it. I don't mind helping you out. when you need it. but like I said its all up to you.
