I think you left something out. In order to solve the logic question, a simple chart is set up. You have five time frames, five objects that are created in the sand... yet you only have four families.
Am I missing something??

You have 5 times, 5 sculptures, 4 family surnames, and 4 awards. I had to add "no award" and "5th Family"

Kemp family was 1st done @ 45 min. created seagull won best of show.

McKinney family was 2nd done @ 60 min. created lighthouse won mayors choice.

Costello family was 3rd done @ 75 min. created octopus won no award.

snyder family was 4th done @ 90 min. created lobster won queens award.

5th family was 5th done @ 120 min. created whale won peoples award
