Brian Charles Lara....
Both Sachin and Brian has glowing individual statistics....no doubt about that!
However, 'The Prince of Port of Spain' has proven that he can deliver the goods even under pressure. He has done it on several occasions (eg his heroic 153 not out in Bridgetown, Barbados against Australia in 1998-1999....a gem of an innings! He single handedly won that match.) ,....and that is what seperates the men from the boys... the intangibles....the ability to step up when it matters most!

u cann't decide being great of a person by just one or two innings or even by the no. of centuries or the runs scored .
rather its more about how does ur performance affects the team.
brian charles lara is a great player ofcourse but still when it comes to the variety of shots on the back, the support provided to the team, the influence that;s made on the bowller, he is a bit behind the all time great indian SACHIN R TENDULKAR.
undoubtedly lara has played more than one extra ordinary innings but in most of the cases this was single handed attempt. so it does not bossts up the team's morale. while tendulkar has became a name of team-spirit...... when-ever he makes run the entire tesm goes in the top of the form.
more ever considering th eenormous pressure on tis guy and
along with the stats as provided by the friends TENDULKAR thus have an edge over lara

As an Aussie I gotta say Lara. Not only has he got all the records but how often has he come in at about 2/10. In fact over the last 10 years I think Dravid, Ponting and Kallis may all be better than Sachin - who was really good early but not anymore
