The power is still on, it does not go into hibernation or screensaver mode. I have tried to open in safe mode after restarting and hitting F8. I need help because this is really frustrating.

I am not very computer savy so talk me through every step. Thanks in advance

Oh and what does VGA stand for (video.................).

Try going into safemode and setting different resolutions to see if that helps.

check your video card may something worng with that....try booting from CD/DVD ROM's
