I live in NY and I just paid $2.75 a gallon for regular gas. The rest of the country dosn't seem to be upset at all so I am thinking that maybe just maybe the rest of the country isn't paying as much.

So here is my question..... in three parts...

1. How much do you pay a gallon?
2. What state do you live in/
3. Are you upset about this?

I paid $2.29 a gallon and I live in Idaho. I think that everyone has taken advantage of the oil situation only to get rich. It is not those that pay the price; it is the middle class and especially the lower class. I work hard for my money and it seems that anything I am able to try to save; goes for gas and oil. Pay more to make same amount of money - makes no sense to me and I wonder most days what our world be like if people were not money hungry!!!!!

I pay 2.18 if I am away from the farm. I have a 450 gallon farm tank I filled up at !.50 per. What I find so funny is all the liberals that want us to be like Europe are getting mad about 3 dollar gas, when EU folks are paying 5 - 6 dollars per gallon.

In NY I paid $2.65 - too much sales tax.

However we are not a nation of manufacturing so our energy needs are less. I am not upset about this - I think the sales tax should be raised to $10.00 a gallon. Income tax to 50%. Just raise all fees, tolls and taxes to encompass 101% of our income and then have the IRS put us all in jail for failure to pay this amount. Then some country will free us from big brother and his democratic & rebuplican coherts

$2.85 for regular unleaded here in San Diego CA. Hard to believe the war in Iraq is all about oil when gas is this expensive! Of course it could be worse. I hear that in Europe it's over $8 a gallon! Can you imagine spending $120 to fill up your 15 gallon gastank? I don't like $2.85 for gas, but it could be a LOT worse.

1) Filled up last night at 2.17/gallon
2) Texas
3) Of course. I just bought a house that's a lot further away from my work (a lot further away from everything, come to think of it), and commute costs are a LOT higher than they were a year or two ago.

But, who to blame? The government? Nope, this is a free market economy. OPEC? Supply and demand -- the more we demand, the higher the prices go. The oil companies? Maybe more than the other two, but any company's first obligation is to make money. You and me? The oil thirsty citizens of a country with an oil-based economy? Yep, THAT'S who I blame.

I live in Kansas and paid $2.25 two weeks ago and $2.55 yesterday. I've heard it's because the Vensualan dictator took over all of our oil interest there about a couple of weeks ago. I keep wondering if that was what killed my stocks about the same time but everyone says that has to do with China. Yes, I'm upset about all of it. No dividends to live off of now that I retired and everything keeps getting more expensive. It's the pits but what can we do?

Now they say " In some worldwide places they could desire to pay 7 money a gallon". i ask your self what they're going to say as right now as we get there?

$2.43 , NC, & I am not happy it has gone up 43 cents a gallon in less than 4 weeks but I can't say I am upset. It goes up & down. It was over $3.40 a gallon. Our state like yours has really high gas tax.

1) $2.38
2) Georgia
3) Yes. $0.38 in two weeks is a rediculous increase in price. Where are the politicians who were upset at the sudden increase, from the last time? Even if they were replaced, these new guys are dragging butt on making the petroleum companies not gouge us! Some help they were! Buncha buttholes!
