What is the most common typing speed? I type 72 wpm and was wondering how comparable I am to others.

72 is good. i just took a typing class at college and anything above a 65 is good. before that class i was at 62 now im up around 85

The most common would probably be 50, but I am around 100 too.

I type way over 100, but I type for a living.

that is pretty good. i type 35 to 45 wpm. i think you are above average. i think average is around 55 to 60. good luck.

you type faster than me. i type 68wpm the last time i tested (a week ago). but i had a 96 score. i had only 3 errors. so it depends on how many mistakes you make in that minute.

I tihnk it depends on how much you type. People who type a lot are more likely to type fast.

I did a test recently and they recorded me in at 137 words per minute.

i can type about 100 something words a minute
