I already have the fish together and i also have a crab in the tank. I had a frog but it died. I am not sure how it died. his stomach was open but I don't know if that happened pre or post death. I have been thinking about getting another frog but I am worried that the crab killed him.

OK, so the woman at the store said that the crab and frog would work together. However, I just read on petco that they would not.
I believe the frog was an african dwarf and I believe the crab is a red crab from south east Asia.

The very best tip you can get is don't do it. Angels like warm water while goldfish need cooler water. Both fish really need their space so unless you have a really large tank space would also be a problem. If you only have one tank to work with, you need to pick either coldwater fish or tropical fish and keep only those.

Angel fish don't follow their names. If one of your fish is eaten to death and itas not an Angel Fish, than you should probably take the angels out. They are pretty agressive.
Goldfish don't grow bigger than their enviroment. Goldfish are simple to take care of, just give them food and they're pretty okay.
Tetras, platies, dwarf gouramis, ghost shrimp, neon tetras (in a group), guppies, female bettas(males are aggressive). certain kinds of frogs(if you want to set up a dry spot in you tank for it), no sharks of any kind. Sharks get big and aggressive. When they are small they're fine but when they grow... not so much. Some can get over a foot long.
You probably got all this stuff but you need plants (fake or real), a filter, heater (for the angel fish, only heat to 70-80 degrees F), and a thermometer to keep track of the temperature, and oxygen. For oxygen, you've probably seen treasure chests that open and then bubbles come out, right? If you don't have one, you might want to get something like that.
Thats really all I can say without looking it up... Good luck.
Also, the frog works, but I'm not so sure about the crab... The crab might have pinched the frog.

others have summed some of this up but this is my 2 cents.
1. goldfish and angelfish have entirely different requirements and shouldnt be in a tank together, if anything the amount of waste a goldfish makes is enough to kill off an angelfish.
2. the crab is NOT fully aquatic and needs to be able to get out of water, they'll also eat anything they can get their claws on, including passing frogs and fish, is he a fiddler crab or something else? fiddlers need half aquatic half land tanks with brackish water, completely different to goldfish and angels.
3. dont get another frog, the waste the goldfish makes is enough to kill them off and they need bloodworms to eat, which are super messy, and the crab will have a go.
basically, what you have wont work in the long run and is best split up

Goldfish and angelfish can't live together. It's not because we don't want them to live together it's because thats not what it's like for them in their natural habitat. Goldfish and angelfish both have different water requirments and while the goldfish could withstand the warmer water temperatures required by the angelfish, goldfish create A LOT of waste and ammonia which if the angelfish haven't already killed your goldfish out of aggression, the angelfish and any other tropical fish will probably die. I recommend you keep goldfish with goldfish and angelfish with other tropical aggressive fish of the same size.

Goldfish and angelfish really shouldn't live together. If you have fancy goldfish though and your tank is over fifty gallons and the av. temp is around 75 degrees F, it might work only if you have excellent filtration. Then you could put in a few bamboo shrimp or 3-4 in. fish. No cichlids. If your goldfish are fancy goldfish and your tank is too small, just get a bigger tank and clean it often. If your goldfish aren't fancy, I'd suggest to separate them.

anglefish are actually quite aggressive, they shouldn't be with goldfish. plus, angelfish have different ttemperature needs, as they are a tropical fish. your best bet is to have one small tank with goldfish, and a tropical fish tank with the angelfish and other tropicals.
