Okay now I kno that the Abbreviation wouldn't go well, but my band genre is Rock/Alternative Rock/Metal.

Of course it goes without saying that the genre of music could make or break the name. It sounds more like a rock band, or if you wanted to look deeper, could even be a great Christian band name.
Either way, it sounds good. Just anything other than those two genres doesn't seem to fit.

I see - to abbreviate it you would call the band "CD" , then you would put out a cd - then all the songs on the cd would be by CD. Then you could go to a CD show to buy a cd. Hmm...

well, you might as well just name it "Barbie Girl" i sorry, but i agree with the abbervation thing..it will not go well.
