I have nice clothes, and I am really nice to everyone. At my school their is a HUGE popular group and I want to be part of it. Most people say popular people are backstabbers, but at my school the non popular people are the backstabbers, the "friends" that I have now treat me like dirt, but the popular girls at school are best friends and have tons of fun together. How can I be part of the group? Some popular people are nice to me, like out of 30, I could have a good conversation with about 20 of them. I really want to be popular, and please no comments about being yourself or don't worry about being popular...thanks!

Think of popularity as a ladder, each little bar is a different level of popularaty. You have to go up the ladder to be popular (duh). To do so, get cloths that fit YOU. Don't wear what everyone else is wearing, it doesn't get you up the ladder. And don't look stupid, you'll fall off the ladder! Have a bad hair day, comb it or else you'll trip off the ladder and die. Make sure you don't do anything stupid, like jump out the window of the school while being pear presured (lol). Popular kids tend to be nicer then those people sleeping at the bottom of the ladder. You are right about that. Popular kids are NOT backstabbers, unless they climb up the ladder too fast and make new friends on that part of the ladder. Also, get good characteristics, example, don't talk like this "so i LIKE went to the park then LIKE went over there and LIKE...". I just wanna say, STOP STAYING LIKE!!!! Besides of that, I really don't know how I got populer. Good luck buddy.

Well from being the head of the popular group at my elamentary school I say 20 is prob enough out of 30 i know there is like 25 peeps in my popular group and i really only talk to like....10 or 11 so i think ou could do just fine with out 10 of them just ask the 20 if you can sit with them or hang out with them.

Although u guys say that ur real friends r the ones that u already hang out with it doesn't always mean they are true friends. Rit now some of the friends I hang out w/ r jerks! Just today one of my "friends" rolled her eyes at me and said my haircut looked bad when I asked her, while a heck of alot of ppl said it looked nice and I actually got alot of compliments. I can go on and on about how mean some of them can get. Ppl believe that unpopular ppl can not b mean pleeeeeeeeeeez! And also ppl want 2 b popular and have cliques way past grade skool if some of u have not noticed.
Anyways u do have to act like urself (ppl will see the real u eventually) just with more backbone and lots more voice for urself. To b popular U have 2 talk and have some sense of style. U do not have 2 wear pink and a skirt evryday but mayb just a nice tee and pants.

oh i can help you, im 15 i went through the same thing i had nice clothes, people said i was a good looking guy, my friends started to be asswholes, but i didnt know any one in the popular group, so one day i noticed one of the guys and just said "hey,whats up" he answered back and then i introduced my self to them one by one. one day i went to ther lunch table and just said "hey does anyone sit here" no, you can sit here and from then on im hanging with the people i wanted too i have alott of friends im having the most fun i have had in my life and best of all my old friends are jelous and their the nerds watching TV On weekends. got 2 go hope i helped..... oh your a girl it should be easier... be really girly and dont brag! im a guy and somepeople thought i was gay because i looked to cute to be a guy! wtf!

ok, so to become popular:
1. get to become friends with the nicer populars,(talking w/them sitting at their lunchtable...etc.
2. Usually they'll include you in the group when you get to be good friends, and eventually, it'll be like you were always popular!
3. Eventually, ur old friends will get the idea and wont hang around you anymore..

You can really be popular if you want to but must it be with the group in your school? You can be popular via other ways i.e. acting in school drama , playing school games, or representing your school in other things. No one is born popular every popular person worked for it goodluck

Well yea I know you don't want to her it but you need to be your self and if you're not popular then you're going to be known for being the nice girl and all of that everyone will like you for it because you don't cause drama and all of that stuff what school do you go to? It sounds like high school drama

i'm not gonna mentchen be urself cuz u already know tat. talk to them every day. not too much, i might scare them. the one that mostly connects with u in frendship is the one u should ask. ask tat person after about 2-3 weeks if u r officially apart of their group. then if she says no, tell her about how ur other frends treat u like dirt. see wut happens from there....
