Don't panic. It's normal. If you begin to bleed then you can worry. There is nothing you can do to stop a miscarriage, so worrying will get you no where...especially since it's completely normal. Your uterus is stretching and making room for a baby.

Cramps in early pregnancy are very normal. I had them daily from 4 weeks until I was 8 weeks pregnant. The uterus is cramping, streching and growing and it does feel just like period cramps. Call your OB, but I think you are just fine unless you are bleeding or they are HORRIBLE cramps.

I still get cramps on and off in my uterus and I am 16 weeks along with a healthy and easy pregnancy.

Period like cramps are a symptom of early pregnancy. That is why some women don't realize they are pregnant. They feel crampy and think their period is coming. That is what happened to me. It is normal and as long as they are not unbearably painful, and you are not bleeding, don't worry. If it would make you feel better, just give your doctor a call for reassurance.

Yes it is normal. I had period like cramps right through my pregnancy. It felt like my period was about to start any minute but just never did. If they start getting really painful or if you start bleeding, then you should go to the hospital. Good luck and congrats.

I've been pregnant 3 times. One time I had a miscarriage. I had cramps all 3 times. They were never bad, and the only time I ever had bleeding was with the miscarriage. If they aren't horrible and you aren't having bleeding then it's probably just normal. Congrats.

Please don't worry, it is perfectly normal. I don't know why that first person that answered is trying to freak you out. Everyone I know experienced period-like cramps for at least a few weeks in early pregnancy. Your uterus is getting used to something being there, when it was never there before. I know it sucks, but it will go away. I hope you feel better soon.

if the cramps are unbearable go to the emergency room. if not it may just be the growth changes in your cervix which are very normal. if this continues go to the er and of course if you start to bleed have a foul odor or foul smelling discharge go right away
