Here's a nice trick question...
Out of all 50 states, which is the easternmost?
Out of all 50 states, which is the westernmost?
Now, some will argue that by agreement, the 180 degree longitudinal merdian--i.e. the International Dateline--has been redrawn on "official" maps/globes and thus puts the state entirely in the Western Hemisphere, but I like to go with the real 180 degrees meridian straight from pole to pole which makes the answer to both questions: Alaska.

That would be Hawaii. If you're talking about the contiguous 48 states it would be Florida...specifically, Key West, Florida.
