Ok, I've been wanting to be an actress for a long time. Not just for the fame and fortune (probably won't even become rich, famous), but because I think it's a fun thing to do and I want to do this. I know some acting schools like John Robert Powers is a rip-off, and that I should get an agent right away. (Of course acting classes first though). And headshots.....where do you get them at? Any photographer or are there special ones? And where do I find them? Also....looking for an agent....is the agent in a specific agency? Or is the agent just by his/her self? How do i find a good agent. And if I sign up w/ an agency, am I signing up w/ the agnecy only or w/ an agent in the agency. Also, how do i sign up w/ the agent? Where do i find one? I live in the Bay Area of California by the way. Help please! I'm 13 and I think I can do this acting dream!

Since you live in California, you should ask your actor friends and teacher, because each city in the USA has a different method of how things are done in the acting business. It is NOT the same in every city in the USA. Your teacher and actor friends can give you guidance on headshot photographers.

You are 13 years old and cannot get an agent, because you are a minor and CANNOT legally sign a contract until you are older.

Speak with your acting teacher and actor friends. Ask your acting teacher to recommend a theatre where you can audition.

The resume format for the city where you live may not be the same as used in other cities. Your other questions can be answered by your acting teacher.
