People suck, that is why. Try to find a positive thought, pet a puppy or something, it will get better.

The world isn't cruel people are , but make a difference if you see someone in need of help then help them, true often you will be berated but remember if you help 1 genuine person often they in turn will help another etc. etc. remember a wave is formed from many drops.

Because we live in a me, me society and mojority of people are out for themselves and don't take into consideration their actions. Hope you feel better soon.
