I'm having a party this summer. My best friend is planning it. We're both 13 years old. See, she's a really good planner. So I asked her to plan my party. See, my mom told me I could invite 20 people. So when I made the guest list and mailed out the invitations, I forgot to put her on!!! It was too late to cancel the invites. They were already to everone's house! I asked my mom if I could have 1 extra person but she said no. I called my best friend and told her. She seemed a little sad. And we got into a fight. I told her that it's better off that she's NOT there! I called her a lot of mean names too. She said that I'm insensitive. But the truth is, I forgot put her on the list on purpose. I really didn't want her there. Is she right? Did I do something wrong? I think she's just jelous because I have more friends. What do you think?

Im sorry, but I have to agree with everyone else, that was pretty messed up. Maybe you dont like her as a best friend anymore but she still like you. She probably feels really hurt and sad that your "forgot" to invite her. Though you may not like her, she's your BEST friend. Best friends are above all other friends. It was kind of mean not to invite her because you both seemed close and you guys were BEST friends for gods sake. If anything, she should have been on the top of the list, the first one. Hmm. Maybe you can tell this to your mom, what you typed on here, and hopefully she'll understand. It would be rude to uninvite someone to invite your best friend but it would also be rude not to uninvite her. I hoped this helped!

no, i don't think she's jealous because you have more friends than she does. she's mad because she's not invited to the party that she planned! i would be upset too, but at the same time, there's nothing you can do about it. the party isn't until summer, so chances are that someone is going to be out of town or can't make it and then she can go. either that, or tell her to just show up. what's your mom going to do, kick her out?

The number of friends you have really doesn't mean a thing, it is the quality of those friends. You treated a high quality friend like dirt. You should be ashamed of yourself. You ARE insensitive.
You need to beg forgiveness and make things up to her. Also, the odds are that one of the 20 friends that did nothing to help you will be a no-show. Invite your friend, although, honestly, it sounds like she is too good of a friend for you and she is better off without you.
I would be completely humiliated if you were my daughter.

Let me get this straight...you had your "best" friend help plan this party and then didn't invite her? You are no friend at all. You are selfish and SHE'S right about you! I can't believe you'd have her do all that work and just leave her out. You should really take a look at yourself and figure out why you are so selfish.

If you didn't want her there, then you shouldn't have had her plan the party. Do your own b*tch work, don't make somebody else do it, then treat them like that. I'm pretty sure she's not jealous of you. Maybe just mad at herself for trusting a "friend" like you. Hopefully she'll plan her own party and it'll be a bigger hit than yours. Just remember, you get what's comin to you!

that is horrible!!! u have her plan ur party than purposly not invite her even thuogh u acte dlike shes ur bff!!not kool!!! she has a rite to me super mad at u and a rite to treat u unfairly!! and i doubt shes jealous cuz of ur friends,,,shes probly so hurt that sum1 can be so crule to another person and lie to her about b n friedns and everything so u could have a kool party!!! u were so in the wrong doing!!!!!

If not, she has every right to be angry at you.

first of all you are 13 right? you need to act your age. i think it was selfish of you to do what you have done. i wouldnt go for anything in the world now and i would be sure that others knew how you are. hopefully you will be shown up and no body will show up to your party.
