Depends on how you use it. Just like anything you do in life, there is always repercussions. And if you take something, remember it always has to come from somewhere.

If you do a money spell, they money has to be taken from someone else. And then it will be taken from you, more then what you got to begin with; just as an example.

Witchcraft, Wicca, paganism isn't bad. It's what you do with it and how you use it that can make it bad.

There is a lot of truth in Karma.

*************

Just like Christianity isn't bad. It's the closed minded people who can't/won't think for themselves spewing garbage that they hear in church without doing personal research on the subject. Not to mention those that can't distinguish between Wicca and Satanism.

It used to be that things like that were passed on by oral teachings from really skilled and knowledgeable people to their students. That system had a serious blow to its ranks with the slaughter of millions throughout Europe ( get the video 'The Burning Times).

The reason for that was to do it right; make sure the wrong people were not given the knowledge, keeping it in context, things like that. Of course nothing is fool proof. Just like with other religions there is always someone who is sick or not right some how and they end up hurting people. So this spells from books stuff is nonsense at best and irresponsible at worst. Maybe some of the authors genuinly mean well but it is not how it should be done. I am against that sort of popularization.

Witch is a term used for people male or female who practise in a good way. A warlock is someone who goes against the Davine goodness shall we say.

Reading is fine, but when you want to practise something so serious you need to have a Wicca teacher. Wicca isn't something you should join so that you can muck about with spells. It is a genuine earth based religion from our ancestors.
It is hard to find a real Wiccan group that has a solid base but there are organizations out there.

This is never to be confused with Satanism. Satan is a belief that comes from the connected religions a kin to Christianity. If you are interested check out Zoroastrianism the root of Christianity, Judaism, the Bahia and Islam.

Exploring these things is wonderful and personally I enjoy it. You have to use more academic rather than popular sources though. That 'pop' stuff is fun but that's all it should be and I wouldn't bother much with it. It is imoral to try things like love spells, which are quite popular. There are the good and the foolish out there.

There are some very mixed up versions of faux Wicca. They are not real Wicca. Anyone messing with sacrifices is on the wrong path. Thats what happens when a religion is decimatied. It is a struggle to get back the real thing and in a way that works with who we are today. It is a tragedy. Much beauty and common sense was lost.

Be safe, do your research carefully and then enjoy.

PS; Whitch burners are murderers and should be delt with as such. The history of Christianity is a perversion of the teachings of Jesus.

First I have a couple of questions for you to really ponder.
1. Why do you want to practice witchcraft?
2. What lead you to this path?
3. What do you expect to gain from it?

If your answer to ANY of these questions is "power", forget it. It is not flashy, you do not get any supernatural powers, it does not make you cool. The only person you have control over is yourself.

There are good books and bad. If these books are by Cunningham or Buckland then you are ok, if they are by Ravenwolf they are probably not worth the ink used for printing.
I am a Witch! Have been practicing for over 40 years. We don't recognize the existance of demons or the devil, so how could we worship something that isn't? Evil exists, that is a given, but it is of MAN not of nature. Doing anything even remotely evil goes against our principles. As long as you follow the rede "Do as you will as long as it harms none" then it is not bad. I would suggest doing a lot of hard thinking and reading before doing any spells. You must be 100% sure that it does not affect anyones free will or harms any one or any thing in any way.
We do our best for humanity and the environment. If we were being influenced or led by the devil, why would he teach us how to use healing herbs and why would he want us to advocate saving the earth? Why would he want us to use our very being to help others? Doesn't that sound more like of "God" than of "Satan"? Can we be so mislead that we spend our entire lives doing good things for people & nature and helping in any way that we can that we are actually doing the work of the "devil"?!? Get real.
It has been pointed out that unicorns are also mentioned in the bible so they must exist, but strange thing is that CATS are not to be found in the bible, therefore they must not exist?
I also suggest you stop using aspirin (willow bark), valium (valerian), digitalis (foxglove) plus inummerable other "drugs" because they are based on herbal knowledge (which is one of our specialties). And I don't think you will find them in the bible either! And Please! Don't get a mid-wife to bring you child into the world, because that is another practice attributed to witches! Oh! Don't forget aromatherapy! Don't forget that the field of medicine was also originated by witches if you want to get down to basics. The cadeuces (the medical symbol) is ancient Celtic in origin, it is 2 serpents entwined on a staff signifying knowledge & wisdom. I am sure that is not in the bible either!!! Especially since the actual symbol predates Christ.
Witchcraft is not evil and has absoloutly nothing to do with Satan, and if people would open their minds and hearts and books (other than the bible) they would see this.
Sorry for the ranting, but sometimes the Religious Reich gets to me.

Been there done that and didn't like what I got into at all. I got out but fast when I was at a gathering and they acted like they were really going to kill this girl. She freaked as anyone would and got outside naked, screaming her head off. Neighbors called the cops who came and it got very strange. She wouldn't or couldn't quit screaming and they had to strap her down on a gurney and take her to the hospital in an ambulance. I think they must have given her some kind of a drug. My sister-in-law stayed in it and she got so weird and ended up dying in a very awful way. I kept messing with it at home, staying away from the freaks but I got where I couldn't sleep w/o horrible dreams waking me up. It got so bad I was hardly sleeping at all. I finally told God if he was real would he help me and he did. I'm now a Christian and wouldn't have that stuff around me at any time. Good luck and God bless

While I would not call myself an expert I have yet to see anything about Wicca that indicates it is anything other than a belief system that is outside of the mainstream. There certainly isn't anything wrong with that! Furthermore, what are you trying to accomplish with your practice? Are you trying to hurt others? Commit some crime? Destroy property? These things would be wrong under pretty much any circumstances. On the otherhand if your actions are harmless to yourself and others then there is nothing wrong and I wish you luck with it!

That depends on whether or not you abide by the words in the Bible "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" ... Most witches refer to what they do as "natural magic" - harnessing the powers of things in nature like crystals and herbs. And no, that isnt bad. Please remember that witchcraft and Satanism arent the same thing. Most witches do not worship Satan. They worship The Goddess - Nature.

your friend is probably a christian. i believe christians don't practice witchcraft.

however, if you're an atheist, feel free to cast as many spells as you'd like. after a while you'll realize it's all a waste of time and nothing to be afraid of...

Hard to say. There can be good and bad witchcraft. If you just want to dabble a bit in the occult try a ouija board. The hardcore stuff can be a bit scary.
