I have seen some of the comments here on yahoo regarding interracial couples and what make us so special to have our own neighborhood. Let me just say people that think remotely along those lines are ignorant and naive. We post these questions out of wanting to feel safe and welcome in a neighborhood. You may not see any problem with us being a couple but there are those that are not and will let anyone know so. Honestly, would you feel comfortable walking down street and having people stare at you like you are an exhibit at a zoo. Even though interracial couples are becoming more common it is still not welcome. Some may say it's disgraceful or 'I can't believe they are with on of them (more so than not them meaning black)'. When we post the question where is a nice place for a biracial couple to live, please understand it is all for comfort of not constantly looking over our shoulders, wanting a nice place to raise our children, and where there are good jobs.

I don't know about Tampa, too many rednecks. Minneapolis yes. New York City yes. Think big metropolitan. I heard the other day Iceland has stringent laws against racism, but I wouldn't want to move there. How about Ireland, if your considering Europe? There will be racism wherever you choose to go, but how will people act is the question. Some will not think about it as much because it's more commonplace. In other places people will see it as out of the ordinary and look at you like you're in a zoo, like you said. I've been thinking about this question myself for a little while now.

How annoying to could desire to assert on your question which you're biracial. Is that assume to advise something? Are we to think of of large places to retire for blended couples. improve UP!

In the Dallas area, this area is very , very multi-cultural, and a biracial couple would blend in seamlessly with all of the other diverse family arrangements we have, like gay couples with children for example. Our middle -class schools look like a virtual rainbow, plus jobs are plentiful here, the weather is nice, come on to north Texas, you are Welcome!!!

SF Bay area, we have a few different types of biracial couples just in my church (i.e. black-asian, black-latin, latin-asian, pacific islander-african, black-white and probably more), imagine how many there are outside... Only thing is it's expensive here, but when it comes to living in a true melting pot, it's great.

I find the west coast to be much more accepting than the east coast. I would look into San Francisco, Seattle, and Portland. Good luck!
