i-pod video 80g - 350
i-pod nano 4g - 200
pay the extra and get an ipod video. you can hold pictures, video, and many more songs than a nano.
but nanos are cute and tiny.

I don't have the video ipod (so I don't know much about it), but I do have a nano. The prices vary depending on how much space they have. The silver 2 GB nano (holds about 500 songs) and it costs $199. And the silver/ blue/green/red or pink, 4 GB (holds about 1000 songs) costs $249.

here is amazon which i recommend cus you can get a lower price. also the best is really up to you. for me the best would be both why both cus one can be for the gym (nano) and the other for everyday use (video) but if you dont like to watch video on a small screen dont bother. both can go anywhere. just one is lighter and does less stuff.
