If your pc is plugged into the mains, then its not a battery problem, start your pc and hold the F8 key, then choose Safe Mode with Networking, once your pc loads, do a google search for Pccillin Housecall, the run house call, and should clear any viruses etc..from the pc, I think you may have a worm

Plug it in directly to a known good power source, not a surge protector and try it. Also try pressing the F8 key while the computer is booting up. This will access the advanced boot menu. Select safe mode from the menu and try entering in safe mode. That way you can do a system restore to an earlier time when it was working okay.

Yep, sounds like you have a battery issue. Try plugging it in for an hour or so. If that doesn't work, the only thing I can think of is that your power cord is bad and isn't recharging, that is why your machine continues to hybernate.
I would invest on taking it into Geeksquad at Best Buy if you are near one. They did a bang up job on my laptop!

Is it a laptop or tower unit.
If a laptop check your battery it may need charging
If it is a pc we need more information? what happens when you boot up does the pc boot up fully before closing down, do you get any error messages etc

2 questions 1 do you have a battery? and 2 if you dont is it plugged in and if you do have a battery it might be a dud or not charged enough
