I wonder how some of the nimrods you describe would feel if they were in the position that the average Israeli is in, every day of his life. Lets say about 1 quarter of Texas was a separate country and every day, Mexicans, Other Texans, Arizonians and Louisianans were launching rockets into this little country hoping to kill or injure anyone in the vicinity, women and children included. Then people from those surrounding places were showing up at schools, marketplaces, sporting events and the like, and blowing themselves up, taking women and children with them. Then, just for fun, sometimes armed people from those areas would sneak into this little country and kidnap people.
This is what the Israeli's have been putting up with for almost 60 years so, if anybody in this world has a reason to be pi$$ed off and maybe plays a little hard@SS once in a while, how could you blame them. Let someone morter your kid's playground and see how you'd react. The people who are constantly criticising Israel have no clue because they have never had to deal with the constant threat.

Just a little on the beginnings of Israel. What happened was that the British decided to split the land before they pulled out. They attempted to split it based on populations. Naturally this would leave Jews in Arab land and visa versa however this is simply the nature of the problem in Israel. This decision resulted in Israel having much of the South (a large desert wasteland) and some areas up north along the Mediterranean while the Arabs had the rest and Jerusalem was international. The Jews were dancing in the streets out of joy for this decision, however the Arabs were not willing to have the Jews anywhere at all and thought it necessary to "push them into the sea". To make a long story short, the Arabs started a war and lost it and in the process lost most of what had been given them by the British. In conclusion, I would simply like to state that the British tried to come up with a fair division of land, the Arabs wouldn't take it and they lost the land in a war they started. It is their own fault they don't have a country now.

I am neither, but good question, let me see, anti-semitic is you hate Jews and anti-Israeli or zionism is you think the diaspora (where the Jews spread their faith and tribes) is right and should still be taking place so they don't NEED an Israel, is hating that the Jews have a place to call home? Is that about right?

not unavoidably. If I see a submit of hers i will determine in line with what she says. The definition of antisemite is somebody who hates Jews so being a semite does not prepare one cant be antisemitic. Even Jews could be antisemites and a few are. Meir Kahane called them self hating Jews. Addition; mendacity that AIPAC supposedly has 'too plenty potential' whilst in actuality they have virtually none (they are able to't even get u . s . of america to renowned Jerusalem as Israels rightful capital, wow what powerful potential they wield...not!!!) is antisemitism disguised as something else. And it has not something to do with loose speech simply by fact somebody asserting they hate Jews basically for present is likewise loose speech and in u . s . of america there is not any regulation against it simply by fact it somewhat is loose speech in spite of if it continues to be antisemitic on an identical time as nonetheless being loose speech. And Jews are in many situations purely as semitic as every physique else. yet back the term ANTI-Semite does not advise hatred of all semites purely like homophobe does not advise hatred of all homosapiens.

I liked "idiotsreside's" (sic) answer above. No-one should have to live with the daily threat of death no matter their religion, race, age, sex or any other trait.
But I do have a problem with Israel which may just stem from my ignorance....but I keep coming back to the following thoughts:
After WW II the USA and its allies decide to create a country for Jewish people to call home. This was partly to compensate for the holocaust, partly to stop Jewish terrorism against the British and partly to give the US a foothold in the Middle East.
All three reasons to me seem to be invalid reasons to create a country and if I was a Palestinian I too would find it extremely hard to accept losing a huge part of my country just because someone wrote a religious book about the origins of another religion thousands of years ago and then re-populated my land with people from other countries.
What if Germany had won WWII and had relocated everyone of the Jewish faith to Virginia, armed them to the hilt and created a sub-country here in the US ? How would we feel ?

To quote Tom Friedman, "Criticizing Israel is not anti-semitic, and saying so is vile. But singling out Israel for opprobrium and international sanction-out of all proportion to any other party in the Middle East-is anti-semitic, and not saying so is dishonest."

Try again, chump. It is the Israeli apologists who deliberately blur the line because they want to call valid criticism "anti-semitism".
Calling for jews to put into ghettos is anti-semitism. Calling for the removal of jewish squatters from Palestinian land is not, but Israel's apologists want to equate the two.
Calling Israel's bombing of civilian refugee camps terrorism is NOT anti-semitism, despite how often the apologists' lie is told.
Israel has a right to exist and all those who make valid criticism of Israel agree with that, despite _your_ lie to the contrary. At all stages, it is liars like yourself that want to change the arguments, change the facts, and commit revisionism on par with holocaust deniers. No valid criticism of Israel has ever done or required that, only it's blind defenders do.
