Go with the PetSmart one, because it's plastic. The PetCo one, although it seems as if it would be roomier, doesn't accomodate an excercise wheel, tubes for access from aquarium to cage, and is made of wire. Those types of wire cages w/ wire flooring are VERY bad for gerbils' (and any small animals') feet. Not only do they cause irritation, but they can also catch the gerbils' feet and seriously injure them.
The PetSmart one looks nicer, is more practical, safer, and cheaper than the PetCo one, so I would definitely buy that one.

I would go with the one from PetSmart. I hate metal cages that offer grates for the animals to walk on. First off that cannot feel good or be healthful for their little feet. I also think the first one is best because it will be easier to clean and you don't have to worry about rusting metal and what-not.

I think the petsmart one is best. It seems to come with tubes and things that gerbils love to play with. Gerbils exercise is very important as they can become obese very easily. Also, it's great you got two of them. They need gerbil friendship :)
Happy gerbiling!

Both cages are good. The PetSmart one is probably best for gerbils. The other is probably too big, difficult to clean and the metal can be rough on their feet. Good luck!

It's hard to tell from the picture, but does the second one have wire floors? Wire floors are very hard on rodent's feet. I think the petsmart cage looks better.

the one from petsmart looks good. But depends on where you put it. If you use it to put on top of an 10 gallion aquirium you might not want it to be in a spot with too much sunlight. Might head up the contents inside and make where you put it smell.

one with metal bars about 10mm apart vertical and diagonal. make sure it has a bottom cos when you lift the cage up the gerbils will be free and you will have a job catching them before the find a mouse hole and disapear fore ever.
