Use Crucial's memory advisor

First you need to find out what type of memory the ram is.

Generally it will be printed on a sticker on the side of the ram.

Usually it will say something like PC100 or PC3200. If it doesn't, then you can google the model # and it will tell you the specs of the ram stick.

Then you can do what the other person said before and use the Crucial memory compatablilty wizard at http://www.crucial.com to find out what kind of memory your computer uses. If they match then go ahead.

All the memory sticks are same like usb but only thing is that if you are uing windows 98 or me then you require drivers for them to work for xp or higher version you dont require drivers for them.
